Evaluation Of Another Performance

The performance I'm going to be evaluating is Katie and Keirans performance. I enjoyed their performance because it felt very real. This was down to the fact that I could see the emotions pouring out of Katie and I could see the betrayal and hurt that she was showing. I could sense that she was trying to stay strong but I could also see the anger that she felt towards the character Neil. As well as this her partner Keiran reacted to what she was saying naturally and you could also see the emotions in his body language and face. I found it interesting how he always was sat down and that might be because whenever we see him he is always sat down on his tablet, however at this point he's not on his tablet but he is sat down. Katie was stood up and she faced him and then at moments when you could see her emotions building she would turn away from him and this might've been because she was too hurt to look into his eyes and she couldn't bare the sight of him.

I liked the set that they used it was very simplistic and worked well. I think to improve they could've just worked on their blocking, maybe keiran could've gotten up to do something to give him something to do, or he could've been drinking tea. I think their scene wasn't perfect but I enjoyed it and it looked very real and had intensity and heightened emotions.
