Linda knows that it is fraud, Fact, The research behind it is that she agrees with Dave. Dave accuses Linda of having an affair, Opinion, He has seen messages between the two but has no proof of seeing them together especially as Linda at first has no idea what he is talking about. At the beginning of the play I thought that Linda had an organised perfect life, with a family and a perfect job. When first meeting Neil I was interested in the fact that he was more focused on his tablet rather then Bridget who was discussing her audition monologue with him. I then could see how Linda's life wasn't as perfect as I thought because I could see the struggles she was going through with work. Before knowing what had happened I was confused as to what had upset her and made her wear the sloth onsie continuously. Then after learning I felt sorry for her and I could see how she was angry with her mother for not doing more to understand and help her. You could see that she didn't want to ask for help because she felt like Linda would dismiss her and say it was her own fault. However I can see that Linda has made some small mistakes with the way she reacted to what Alice did but I can see that she only reacted like that because she wanted to strengthen...

My scene consists of Linda and Dave talking about how Luke has left. Then Dave blames Linda for Luke's over pay and then accuses her of having an affair and says she should know better because of her age. Linda is angry with Dave in this scene because he has blamed her for everything, however she knows he isn't wrong. But she knows that she's in a tight position because of how she's been acting recently but she feels that she cannot loose her job because she is a valuable member to the scene. However Dave shuts her confidence down as he asks her to resign. This makes her feel  awful as all she's ever tired to do is help the company and what she has been doing is trying to push the company in a new direction, however, Dave doesn't agree and believes she is the "Shadow of corruption". Penelope skinner is a British playwright. The first play she produced was 'Fucked' in 2008 and was performed at the Old Red Lion Theatre and at the Edinburgh Festival. After 'Fucked' her plays had become massive hits.  She has also had plays performed at the Royal Court Theatre. Skinner is 39 and before becoming a writer she wanted to be an actress but money stopped her as she felt it was a set back. She feels for the beauty industry because she is a feminist and feels for women in the things they have to go through. She feels as if the beauty industry is confusing with its talks about female empowerment, she states  “That’s a central dilemma in Linda: to what extent are we making women feel better about themselves, and to what extent are we selling them something?” . This refers to Linda, this makes me think that maybe she has some issues with the beauty industry
