Contempory Lesson 5
Today in contemporary we worked on the technique where we would say one of the lines from the script and the partner had to reply with either saying it the same way or saying it with more emotion. They would also tell you things like "you're being confrontational" and you would have to change the way you said it. I found that for me and Tahj it helped us to gain more emotion into the scene and to work together more. We also talked about spacing and then we talked about our objectives and tried out making the scene more subtle or keeping it more intense.
We spent the time in lesson wisely going over the technique we learned, going over it continuously. We also took away the sound and did it with the actions and then we added the actions, and then the technique and then we did it with the lines last.
We spoke about the scene and what we thought we could do to improve. Another thing we did was every time we lost emotion we went back to the technique of saying the lines back until their was emotion back into the scene.
